We had an AMAZING response to DFW Spay Day 2010! So many, in fact, that we couldn't help everyone during 'DFW Spay Day Week' and had to put quite a few on a waiting list. Our goal is to help everyone who approached us. We are currently making arrangements for everyone! They should all have appointments set at one of our partnering clinics within the next two weeks! These pets will be referred by Metroplex Animal Coalition Member Groups in order to assist individuals who have pets but cannot afford to sterilize them…anywhere in the Metroplex. Pet Criteria: Dogs and cats must be 7 years of age or younger. Female dogs up to 50 lbs* and male dogs up to 80 lbs. Puppies and kittens must be 2 pounds and 2 months old. Female dogs going to TCAP must be 40 lbs or less. First come, first serve – reservations (based on availability) will be taken up to Feb. 22 (for KCAAP & TCAP Clinics) and up to Wednesday, February 24 for the SPCA Clinic (also based on availability). Appointment times for the SPCA Clinic (Feb. 28) will be confirmed by email the Thursday (2.25) before DFW Spay Day begins. WHAT WE NEED: Pet Referrals: MAC Member Groups - send us your referrals. Volunteers: To help out on or before at Spay Day - for a few hours or the whole day! Sponsorships: PLEASE NOTE, we are still accepting donations to assist us with the overwhelming response to DFW Spay Day 2010! To fund the cost of DFW Spay Day - this year our co-pay is $45 but some that need the service cannot afford even this. Sponsor one or more surgery co-pays OR a general donation that will assist us with the additional overhead expenses. However you can help, financially or through volunteering (or both), you’ll get that warm, fuzzy feeling knowing you helped prevent the birth (and probable death) of countless, unwanted animals! Please join us in making the 2010 DFW Spay Day an even bigger succes than our first event in 2009!
